Competition Is Fierce
As I get ready to find an internship for the spring it is becoming more clear how competitive it is out there. Teachers and professionals have talked about how scarce the jobs have been and I have been naive I suppose because I have been lucky enough to get inernships. Even when I went to my current internship I went in there thinking I would be one of the more experienced interns, but it ends up I am not. There are people with bachelor degrees, master degrees and just a lot more experience than I have. I have been trying to do my best and make myself noticed and I just hope it is working.
I am thinking of applying for some pretty popular and competitve internships for the spring and I hope I get them. I graduate in the spring with a mass communication degree with a focus in public relations and as I’ve said in a previos post, I need to find a job pretty quick after I graduate otherwise I need to head home. I need to fix up my resume and write strong cover letters to show off my writing ability. I could use some tips if anyone wants to share, I’m up for help from anyone.
